The new update for Impresso Pro adds three major features and lots of little things. The first is a Conform Strokes slider which increases visual clarity greatly when using large brush sizes or abstract brush styles. You will also find three Bristle Styles options to give dimensional bristle depth for a more natural appearance. The Brush Styles have also been expanded from three styles to eleven. Each new feature offers more variety to help enhance creativity while continuing to evolve your personal paint style. We've also expanded the Edge Styles on the Canvas Layer to include a square auto-edge and allow users to import their own custom edge.
Conform Strokes Slider
Impresso Pro's natural looking paintings just got better! This new stroke technology conforms brush strokes, using only a slider, to bring out detail naturally while still retaining the brushwork. Now you can use larger brush sizes and abstract brush styles and still achieve visual clarity.
3 Bristle Styles
Three bristle styles wield brushwork in an extremely free manner while retaining high quality strokes even up close.
Textured adds another level of naturally blended bristles nearly indistinguishable from the style of a real painter.
Thick applies pronounced brushstrokes for a more natural, hand-painted effect.
Smooth is the original bristle style. This fluid brushwork adds subtle movement with strokes that blend together naturally.
Expanded Library of Brush Styles
11 brush styles offer a host of ways to create expressive brushwork to infuse paintings with lively vitality that is essential to good paintings. An easy-to-use brush library allows you to see the brush styles first before applying.
Canvas—3 Edge Styles
You can now find 3 Edge Styles on the Canvas Layer: Artistic Edge, Square and Custom. Artistic Edge lets you pick an edge from a library of edges designed by JixiPix artists, Square auto-adds a simple but elegant edge, and Custom allows you to import one of your own. Each of the Edge Styles can be resized and rotated to fit the canvas exactly how you like.
Paint Layers Make It Impressive
Paint Layers (also known as Paint Styles) is what makes Impresso Pro impressive. When a photo is placed in Impresso Pro it automatically transforms the photo into the first paint style called Alla Prima, then places it above a Canvas Layer. This is done to give the user a head start and allows them to jump right in and evolve the painting with settings that give full control. The Paint Layers are impressive because each active layer reveals all the paint settings associated with it. This keeps settings organized and adjustments easy when going from paint style-to-paint style (or layer-to-layer). The Paint Layers are also impressive because you can add paint styles or remove them using this smart layering system. This allows users to create unique one-of-a-kind paintings with a variety of blended paint layers.
