In this course, students will learn how to identify electrical energy conservation possibilities in an industrial and commercial facility. The focus of the energy audit of electrical system is on electric drives due to their dominant influence on overall electricity consumption and biggest energy saving potential. Students will learn to make investement proposals and to calculate pay-off of high-efficiency motors and frequency converters. Special attention is given to pump and fan application due to their wide presence and big electricity saving potential. This course contains tutorial on free online tool that can be used in practise to perform calculation and to generate report on electricity savings in pump and fan applications.
