In this course, you will explore the structure of the Erhu with the teacher, learn the basic principles of sound production of the Erhu, learn how to read the Erhu notation, how to bow, how to press the strings, and how to produce beautiful tones with the Erhu. By this time, you should feel comfortable to move the bow and you will start to do fingering. In the eighth and ninth chapter, you will learn the D major scale in the first position. Lots of etudes and repertoires will be offered and you need to practice them. When you start to practice the etudes and repertoires, you can always practice from slow speed and gradually speed up.
