Below is a two-sentence paragraph with a small dot between every three words. Move your eyes from one dot to the next, in quick succession. Start with the first dot, then move to the second, then the third, and so on. Don't look at the words to the right or left of the dot-simply move your eyes from one dot to the next quickly.
Even though you * are not looking * at individual words * in this paragraph * your eyes and mind * are still able to * pick up the text. * This happens because * paying attention to * spaces between words * prevents your eyes * from narrowing their focus * on individual words.
