Description:

This is the second of the Once Freed novels of the Galactic Cyborg Heat Series. Full of hot passionate males set in the Galactic Cyborg world of dominance.

This is a HEA, Hot Romantic Fiction Novel. A tantalizing story of passions and desires. A stand-alone novel best read in order but not doing so won't spoil your enjoyment.
It's gritty, confrontational and steam will be coming out of your ears. If you're looking for something to get those juices flowing, you just found it. Enjoy!

Written in mainly British English, it has American words and language throughout.

*****

From the moment they'd walked into her village she knew they were in trouble. Whispers had reached them for some time that Cyborgs were pulling in those that lived in small groups to their compound. No one came back to tell them what happened but, in her bones, she knew it couldn't be good. Telling them to pack up, that it wasn't safe any longer in the wild, she'd resisted.
She'd lived all her life in the wild and although the indigenous people were strange and deadly, she'd never feared it.
They had no dominion over them or her.
Telling them she was going her own way, hadn't helped her. She either came willingly or they'd make her. Seeing the others scared around her, she caved.

And knew the moment she'd stepped foot inside; it was the wrong decision. The women walking around the compound were beaten down, worn out. Some were injured. And there was something off about these Cyborgs. Standing in a line, their leader King laid out the rules of his 'protection' and was asking questions about what skills they had, what their roles were. The people she'd known for many years were nervous around her. Uncertain and feared.
Then she'd seen him, walking towards her and knew her life would never be the same again. Large like all the Cyborgs of her world, he was quietly imposing.
He didn't have the same vibe as the others. Where the leaders here clearly dominated, took control, laid down the law, he and his men held themselves apart.

These others were not the protectors her family's history spoke of, that came from Earth Corp to protect their world. These had their own agenda. They wanted to breed. Have children of their own. And they were doing everything in their power to achieve it. No matter the cost. If you were fertile and had no other skills, you went into the breeding pool. She'd rather die than go in there.
As a medic she was useful. And the quiet imposing Cyborg stepped forward saying he'd take her!
Oh shit..

*****

The female seemed different somehow. Coming into the compound he saw the new lineup Kings men had brought in. Another small hamlet gone. She didn't cower like the others. He should have put a stop to this years ago. He'd hoped King would have corrected his malfunctioning by now and that of his men linked to him but that seem futile with every passing day. His appetites and those that supported him were getting worse.
Since Earth Corp was gone, Kings logic told him that they needed new purpose. But King's idea of purpose was to breed, to have a future. Something that was denied them since their creation. They might be fully functioning, but offspring were not in their cards. King's logic should have told him this and to move on. Making the logical choice, to change direction. But he'd not. Every passing year, his behaviour and that of his men seemed to escalate. An emotional response that wasn't logical at all.
He should have led and ended this but had refused to kill another of his brothers. They'd already lost so many. But King was leaving him no choice.

If he took the female...
Possessive rage flew to the surface, and he pulled it back. An emotion. It surprised him and gazed on the female responsible for it. She was useful. A medic. She'd be safer with him.

"I'll take her."
