Feynman Integral Calculus
Feynman Integral Calculus by Vladimir A. Smirnov
English | PDF | 2006 | 287 Pages | ISBN : 3540306102 | 2.6 MB
The goal of the book is to summarize those methods for evaluating Feynman integrals that have been developed over a span of more than fifty years. The book characterizes the most powerful methods and illustrates them with numerous examples starting from very simple ones and progressing to nontrivial examples. The book demonstrates how to choose adequate methods and combine evaluation methods in a non-trivial way. The most powerful methods are characterized and then illustrated through numerous examples. This is an updated textbook version of the previous book (Evaluating Feynman integrals, STMP 211) of the author.

Meeting Under the Integral Sign The Oslo Congress of Mathematicians on the Eve of the Second World War
Christopher D. Hollings, "Meeting Under the Integral Sign?: The Oslo Congress of Mathematicians on the Eve of the Second World War "
English | ISBN: 1470443538 | 2020 | 338 pages | PDF | 7 MB
This book examines the historically unique conditions under which the International Congress of Mathematicians took place in Oslo in 1936. This Congress was the only one on this level to be held during the period of the Nazi regime in Germany (1933 1945) and after the wave of emigrations from it. Relying heavily on unpublished archival sources, the authors consider the different goals of the various participants in the Congress, most notably those of the Norwegian organizers, and the Nazi-led German delegation. They also investigate the reasons for the absence of the proposed Soviet and Italian delegations. In addition, aiming to shed light onto the mathematical dimension of the Congress, the authors provide overviews of the nineteen plenary presentations, as well as their planning and development. Biographical information about each of the plenary speakers rounds off the picture. The Oslo Congress, the first at which Fields Medals were awarded, is used as a lens through which the reader of this book can view the state of the art of mathematics in the mid-1930s.

E-BooksIntegral and Functional Analysis (Updated Edition)

Integral and Functional Analysis (Updated Edition)
English | 2021 | ISBN: 1536192805 | 414 pages | True PDF | 10.81 MB
This textbook is based on three closely related courses: 1) Integration and Metric Spaces; 2) Lebesgue Integration; 3) Functional Analysis. Although the contents have been used for joint undergraduate and graduate courses, this textbook is designed primarily for senior undergraduate students. The prerequisites of this textbook are deliberately modest, and it is assumed that the students have some familiarity with calculus and linear algebra plus the basic (direct, indirect) proof methods.

E-BooksPath Integral Quantization

Path Integral Quantization
Mark S Swanson, "Path Integral Quantization"
English | ISBN: 0750335459 | 2020 | 241 pages | PDF | 8 MB
This book is a self-contained and concise introduction to the techniques and applications of path integral quantization and functional techniques, aimed at students and practitioners. The first half of the text focuses on quantum mechanics, including a review of the action formulation of classical mechanics and quantum mechanics in the Dirac operator and state formalism, and further examination of the path integral. The second part examines relativistic field theories, reviewing special relativity, as well as derivation of the path integral representation of the vacuum transition element for quantized scalar, spinor, and vector fields from the coherent state representation of the respective field theories.

Advances in Fuzzy Integral and Differential Equations
Advances in Fuzzy Integral and Differential Equations
English | 2022 | ISBN: 3030737101 | 226 Pages | PDF | 4 MB
As the title of the book suggests, the topics of this book are organized into two parts. The first part points out the fuzzy differential equations and the second one is related to the fuzzy integral equations. The book contains nine chapters that six chapters are about fuzzy differential equations and three of them are about fuzzy integral equations. In each part, the chapters' authors are going to discuss the topics theoretically and numerically.

E-BooksIntegral Education New Directions for Higher Learning

Integral Education New Directions for Higher Learning
Integral Education: New Directions for Higher Learning By Sean Esbjörn-Hargens; Jonathan Reams; Olen Gunnlaugson
2010 | 386 Pages | ISBN: 1438433484 | PDF | 9 MB
The educational challenges being faced today are driving us toward a new step in the evolution of educational theory and practice. Educators are called to go beyond simply presenting alternatives, to integrating the best of mainstream and alternative approaches and taking them to the next level. Integral Education accomplishes this by bringing together leading researchers and practitioners from higher education who are actively exploring the frontiers of education from an integral perspective. It presents an overview of the emerging landscape of integral education from a variety of theoretical and applied perspectives. Key characteristics of integral education include: exploring multiple perspectives, employing different pedagogical techniques (e.g., reflective, dialogical, empirical), combining conceptual rigor with embodied experience, drawing on developmental psychology, and cultivating a reflective and transformative space for students and teachers alike. Integral Education provides the most comprehensive synopsis of this exciting new approach and serves as a valuable resource for any integral effort within education.
