English | ISBN: 1032606541 | 2023 | 312 pages | PDF | 2 MB
This volume engages with the work of Heidegger to argue that the modern environmental crisis is fundamentally a crisis of understanding Life, resulting from the symbolic codification of the world from the Logos of Greek philosophy to the rationality of the modern world and resulting in a metaphysics that privileges ontological thinking on the "question of being" over the environmental question and the concern for the conditions of life.

Free Download Mark A. Wrathall, "The Cambridge Companion to Heidegger's Being and Time "
English | ISBN: 0521720567 | 2013 | 448 pages | PDF | 1518 KB
The Cambridge Companion to Heidegger's "Being and Time" contains seventeen chapters by leading scholars of Heidegger. It is a useful reference work for beginning students, but also explores the central themes of Being and Time with a depth that will be of interest to scholars. The Companion begins with a section-by-section overview of Being and Time and a chapter reviewing the genesis of this seminal work. The final chapter situates Being and Time in the context of Heidegger's later work. The remaining chapters examine the core issues of Being and Time, including the question of being, the phenomenology of space, the nature of human being (our relation to others, the importance of moods, the nature of human understanding, language), Heidegger's views on idealism and realism and his position on skepticism and truth, Heidegger's account of authenticity (with a focus on his views on freedom, being toward death, and resoluteness), and the nature of temporality and human historicality.

English | ISBN: 1138364770 | 2018 | 114 pages | EPUB, PDF | 2 MB + 1042 KB
This book proposes that entrepreneurial practice is often considered an "applicable" paradigm. An "applicable" paradigm - which focus too much on planned, analytical, calculable, tool-based and ready-to-hand modes of decision making action. Hence, the equally important "theory of Nothing" has not received the attention it deserves.

E-BooksAesthetics, Metaphysics, Language Essays on Heidegger and Gadamer

Aesthetics, Metaphysics, Language Essays on Heidegger and Gadamer
Free Download Stefano Marino, "Aesthetics, Metaphysics, Language: Essays on Heidegger and Gadamer"
English | ISBN: 144387650X | 2015 | 155 pages | PDF | 593 KB
Martin Heidegger and Hans-Georg Gadamer undoubtedly belong among the most important representatives of twentieth-century phenomenological hermeneutics, which represents, in turn, one of the major traditions within so-called continental philosophy. Respectively teacher and pupil, during their long and philosophically intense lives and careers Heidegger and Gadamer greatly contributed to the development of philosophical thought in our age, providing significant and often decisive contributions in various fields of philosophical inquiry. Their main works, Being and Time (1927) and Truth and Method (1960), respectively amount to the great classics of contemporary philosophy, both being extraordinarily influential books without which the history of twentieth- and also twenty-first century philosophy as we know it would not be conceivable. This book addresses a number of problems concerning aesthetics, metaphysics, language and philosophical anthropology, by focusing on Heideggers and Gadamers specific contributions in these fields, and by establishing fruitful and original comparisons between their views and those of other relevant thinkers of our time, such as Hannah Arendt, Richard Rorty and John McDowell. The book adopts a comparative approach that portrays the complex philosophical problems and concepts at the core of this investigation from various points of view, thus broadening the philosophical horizon, generating a more comprehensive perspective, and underlining the compatibility of different philosophical views.

E-BooksTranscendence in Heidegger's Early Thought Toward Being as Event

Transcendence in Heidegger's Early Thought Toward Being as Event
Free Download Erik Kuravsky, "Transcendence in Heidegger's Early Thought: Toward Being as Event"
English | ISBN: 3031412907 | 2023 | 330 pages | EPUB, PDF | 533 KB + 6 MB
This book demonstrates how Heidegger's departure from ontotheology occurs initially as a preparation for the concept of Dasein's transcendence and subsequently as its explicit development and overcoming. Dasein's transcendence is revealed as the foundation for the subsequent concept of Beyng as an Event, which stands in contrast to all ontotheological perspectives that assert a singular a priori foundation of the universe attributed to beings, God, consciousness, or even an independent "process" of Being that doesn't rely on Dasein. The book illustrates that transcendence is not an attribute of human consciousness or a connection to something external to it. Instead, as a "primal act," transcendence paves the way for a non-representational dwelling in the essence of a historically unfolding Being, a contemplative recollection of the truth of Beyng. Throughout the book, there is a gradual progression towards an understanding of transcendence as an active engagement, wherein we "do" transcendence. This process involves a reconstruction of the ontological significance of action, emphasizing its performative embeddedness in existence and its inseparability from Beyng.

English | ISBN: 153814767X | 2020 | 160 pages | EPUB, PDF | 246 KB + 1418 KB
Heidegger´s construction of Being is paramount in Western philosophy and arguably the most enduring effort to construct a presupposition free ontology. Nevertheless, using the theory of encryption of power, we can discover that the result of his effort is a sophisticated perpetuation of a kind of knowing and of doing that alienates the possibility of any kind of politics as a commonality of differences.
