The relationship between levels of education and employability, personal development, and professional development is also discussed.

Economic Governance in Europe Comparative Paradoxes and Constitutional Challenges
Free Download Federico Fabbrini, "Economic Governance in Europe: Comparative Paradoxes and Constitutional Challenges "
English | ISBN: 0198749139 | 2016 | 300 pages | PDF | 3 MB
The Euro-Crisis and the legal and institutional responses to it have had important constitutional implications on the architecture of the European Union (EU). Going beyond the existing literature, Federico Fabbrini's book takes a broad look and examines how the crisis and its aftermath have changed relations of power in the EU, disaggregating three different dimensions: (1) the vertical relations of power between the member states and the EU institutions, (2) the relations of power between the political branches and the courts, and (3) the horizontal relations of power between the EU member states themselves.

E-BooksCoins, Trade, and the State Economic Growth in Early Medieval Japan

Coins, Trade, and the State Economic Growth in Early Medieval Japan
Free Download Coins, Trade, and the State: Economic Growth in Early Medieval Japan By Ethan Isaac Segal
2011 | 276 Pages | ISBN: 0674060687 | PDF | 6 MB
Framed by the decline of the Heian aristocracy in the late 1100s and the rise of the Tokugawa shogunate in the early 1600s, Japan's medieval era was a chaotic period of diffuse political power and frequent military strife. This instability prevented central authorities from regulating trade, issuing currency, enforcing contracts, or guaranteeing property rights. But the lack of a strong central government did not inhibit economic growth. Rather, it created opportunities for a wider spectrum of society to participate in trade, markets, and monetization.Peripheral elites―including merchants, warriors, rural estate managers, and religious leaders―devised new ways to circumvent older forms of exchange by importing Chinese currency, trading in local markets, and building an effective system of long-distance money remittance. Over time, the central government recognized the futility of trying to stifle these developments, and by the sixteenth century it asserted greater control over monetary matters throughout the realm.Drawing upon diaries, tax ledgers, temple records, and government decrees, Ethan Isaac Segal chronicles how the circulation of copper currency and the expansion of trade led to the start of a market-centered economy and laid the groundwork for Japan's transformation into an early modern society.

The Economic Constitution
Free Download Tony Prosser, "The Economic Constitution"
English | ISBN: 0199644535 | 2014 | 304 pages | PDF | 2 MB
There has been little analysis of the constitutional framework for management of the UK economy, either in constitutional law or regulatory studies. This is in contrast to many other countries where the concept of an 'economic constitution' is well established, as it is in the law of the European Union. Given the extensive role of the state in attempting to resolve recent financial crises in the UK and elsewhere in Europe, it is particularly important to develop such an analysis.

E-BooksStalin's Economic Advisors The Varga Institute and the Making of Soviet Foreign Policy

Stalin's Economic Advisors The Varga Institute and the Making of Soviet Foreign Policy
Free Download Kyung Deok Roh, "Stalin's Economic Advisors: The Varga Institute and the Making of Soviet Foreign Policy "
English | ISBN: 1784536938 | 2018 | 256 pages | EPUB | 648 KB
Soviet foreign policy in the Stalin era is commonly assumed to have been a direct product of either Marxist ideology or the leader's whims. Both assumptions, however, oversimplify the complex and subtle factors involved in its creation and implementation. Kyung-Deok Roh provides an alternative, more nuanced, explanation and demonstrates the key role played by Stalin's economic advisors. The so-called 'Varga Institute' , a 'think tank' led by Evgenii Varga, developed a unique scholarly discourse on the capitalist economy and international politics, based on an amalgam of Marxist economics and, notably, the work of American economist W. E. Mitchell. The institute's scholarship, which suggested the resilience, adaptability and stability of the capitalist economy, created the discursive space within which decisions were made, and influenced Stalin to move increasingly from aggressive strategies towards more cautious international policies. Roh's account, the first comprehensive study of this pivotal group, demonstrates the many complex ways that Soviet foreign policy was created and sheds new light onto the controversial relationship between Soviet academia and the party.
