RaRa is finally home after being overseas for 6 months and was so excited to come play at the studio. Peter and the adorableMeika Woollard (Giant Management)are back again for this 2 part natural light tutorial, where Peter will show you how to see light on a models face, and then shapes the light using reflectors! He used Capture One for this tutorial as it has been highly requested, however he still cannot get his look in the software so it was taken with minimal settings so he can punch it up in post. Capture One was also very slow so we apologise some of the photos aren't synced up from when he took them.

Peter uses this 1 second exposure trick a lot with his fashion clients as it creates a surreal effect that is great for hero shots and advertising. This in camera trick can't be replicated in photoshop, and you will never get the same photo twice!

With no reflectors or flashes, in this video Peter will show you why shooting with full sun in the middle of the day is his favourite time to shoot. Carrying extra gear when shooting on location draws more attention so we always keep it minimal and use natural reflectors instead – like the bounce off the white sand at a beach.

Peter, RaRa, and Shiori all teamed up again recently for another lingerie in the city shoot, and as you will see it was absolutely magic! Peter loves using full sun to create fashion images, and was really aiming for Helmut Newton style images. Lottie came to the studio to upgrade her folio to change the direction she was taking with her modelling. She has been doing a lot of e-commerce work and has decided she would prefer to do fashion.Peter wanted to make the shoot edgy, and loved the pants she bought along, and he then shot the whole thing with on camera flash.  Here is a blog post with some of the finished images from the shoot!
