E-BooksThe Bounding Approach to VLSI Circuit Simulation

The Bounding Approach to VLSI Circuit Simulation
Free Download The Bounding Approach to VLSI Circuit Simulation by Charles A. Zukowski
English | PDF | 1986 | 231 Pages | ISBN : 0898381762 | 19.8 MB
This book proposes a new approach to circuit simulation that is still in its infancy. The reason for publishing this work as a monograph at this time is to quickly distribute these ideas to the research community for further study. The book is based on a doctoral dissertation undertaken at MIT between 1982 and 1985. In 1982 the author joined a research group that was applying bounding techniques to simple VLSI timing analysis models. The conviction that bounding analysis could also be successfully applied to sophisticated digital MOS circuit models led to the research presented here. Acknowledgments 'me author would like to acknowledge many helpful discussions and much support from his research group at MIT, including Lance Glasser, John Wyatt, Jr. , and Paul Penfield, Jr. Many others have also contributed to this work in some way, including Albert Ruchli, Mark Horowitz, Rich Zippel, Chtis Terman, Jacob White, Mark Matson, Bob Armstrong, Steve McCormick, Cyrus Bamji, John Wroclawski, Omar Wing, Gary Dare, Paul Bassett, and Rick LaMaire. The author would like to give special thanks to his wife, Deborra, for her support and many contributions to the presentation of this research. The author would also like to thank his parents for their encouragement, and IBM for its financial support of t,I-Jis project through a graduate fellowship. THE BOUNDING APPROACH TO VLSI CIRCUIT SIMULATION 1. INTRODUCTION The VLSI revolution of the 1970's has created a need for new circuit analysis techniques.

E-BooksHandbook of Printed Circuit Manufacturing

Handbook of Printed Circuit Manufacturing
Free Download Handbook of Printed Circuit Manufacturing by Raymond H. Clark
English | PDF | 1985 | 622 Pages | ISBN : 9401170142 | 68.3 MB
Of all the components that go into electronic equipment, the printed circuit probably requires more manufacturing operations-each of which must be per formed by a skilled person-than any other. As a shift supervisor early in my printed circuit career, I had to hire and train personnel for all job functions. The amount of responsibility delegated to my subordinates depended strictly on how well I had been able to train them. Training people can be a trying experience and is always a time-consuming one. It behooved me to help my workers obtain the highest degree of job under standing and skill that they and I were capable of. One hindrance to effective teaching is poor continuity of thought, for example, having to say to a trainee, "Wait a minute; forget what I just told you. We have to go back and do some thing else first. " It was in trying to avoid pitfalls such as this that I undertook a detailed examination of the processes involved, what I thought each trainee had to know, and what questions they would most frequently ask. From this analysis I developed the various process procedures. Only after I had done so was I able to train effectively and with the confidence that I was doing the best possible job. Answers had to be at hand for all of their questions and in what ever detail they needed to know.

E-BooksElectric Circuit Problems with Solutions

Electric Circuit Problems with Solutions
Free Download Electric Circuit Problems with Solutions by F. A. Benson
English | PDF | 1975 | 260 Pages | ISBN : 0412212609 | 23.4 MB
Electrical-engineering and electronic-engineering students have frequently to resolve and simplify quite complex circuits in order to understand them or to obtain numerical results and a sound knowledge of basic circuit theory is therefore essential. The author is very much in favour of tutorials and the solving of problems as a method of education. Experience shows that many engineering students encounter difficulties when they first apply their theoretical knowledge to practical problems. Over a period of about twenty years the author has collected a large number of problems on electric circuits while giving lectures to students attending the first two post-intermediate years of Uni versity engineering courses. The purpose of this book is to present these problems (a total of 365) together with many solutions (some problems, with answers, given at the end of each Chapter, are left as student exercises) in the hope that they will prove of value to other teachers and students. Solutions are separated from the problems so that they will not be seen by accident. The answer is given at the end of each problem, however, for convenience. Parts of the book are based on the author's previous work Electrical Engineering Problems with Solutions which was published in 1954.

Digital CMOS Circuit Design
Free Download Digital CMOS Circuit Design by Marco Annaratone
English | PDF | 1986 | 367 Pages | ISBN : 1461294096 | 45.5 MB
In light of decreasing feature size and greater sophistication of modern processing technology, CMOS has become increasingly attractive, pro- viding low-power (at moderate frequencies), good scalability, and rail-to- rail operation. For many designers, particularly those approaching VLSI from a system viewpoint, previous experience has been mainly with ratioed NMOS design, and so there is a need to buildon this experienceand make a naturaltransition into CMOS design. Indeed, there ismuch that can bebor- rowed from NMOS experience, mainly centered around the techniques for creating N channel pulldown structures. Based on these contributions, CMOS has now grown to the point where there are several circuit styles which have evolved, and these are amply described in this book. Starting at the level ofthe individual MOSFET, basic building blocks are described, as well as the variety of CMOS fabrication processes in contemporary usage. Circuit style issues are then expandedto providethe user with several useful design methodologies, andmuchcareisgiventoelectricalperformancecon- siderations, including characteristics of interconnect, gate delay, and I/O buffering. This understanding is then applied to macro-sized components, including array multipliers, where the reader acquires a unified view of ar- chitectural performance through parallelism, and circuit performance through scrupulousattentionto device sizingandcontrolofparasiticcircuit elements. In addition, layout techniques to avoid latchup, a consideration not previously encountered by NMOS designers, are given careful treatment.

Logic Circuit Design Selected Topics and Methods (2nd Edition)
Free Download Logic Circuit Design: Selected Topics and Methods
English | 2024 | ISBN: 3031406729 | 361 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 32 MB
The 2nd edition has been thoroughly revised and is intended as a wakeup call in the stagnant and dormant field of switching algebra and logic circuit design. It presents the material in a concise but thorough way. The topics selected are an in-depth presentation of switching algebra, a theory of memory circuits (sometimes called flop flops), a new approach to asynchronous circuits, and a newly added part presenting a unique programming technique (or language) for programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Be ready for the unorthodox and controversial.
