This compassionate guide presents an array of new perspectives on the emotional effects of breast cancer and includes many personal testimonies from women who have been diagnosed with this disease. The concise, easy-to-read format includes exercises to develop an acceptance of thoughts and feelings, whilst the individual accounts validate the multitude of emotions felt by sufferers. It is a must for all breast cancer patients and sufferers, their families and friends. Its real-life approach, using first hand accounts, is also highly recommended for all health and social care professionals wanting a fresh approach to managing the emotional impacts of breast cancer. E-BooksSacrificing America's Women Defeating Breast Cancer the Lavender WayProcedure

Sacrificing America's Women Defeating Breast Cancer the Lavender WayProcedure
English | 2022 | ISBN: 1662914229 | 620 pages | True EPUB | 15.95 MB
The author asks if you know anyone or yourself who was diagnosed with breast cancer? If so, even if they made it the journey probably wasn't one they or you would want to repeat. What if it were possible to diagnose breast cancer at an ultra-small stage before it had a chance to spread (The lavender Way). What if you could treat breast cancer successfully in an office setting (Lavender Procedure) in twenty minutes without a single stitch and resume normal activity immediately? What if that doctor had cancer-free survivors going on seven years out, is that a story you want to know about? This book was written by a dedicated and pioneering breast cancer surgeon/researcher. His mantra is to preserve the mind, body, and spirit of the women who have come to him from all over the world. He is the author of America's first large-scale breast cancer prevention clinical trial using the drug Tamoxifen. It chronicles his life's story from his earliest memories of growing up in the 1950s in Chicago to his modeling career, to wrestling a bear a county fair, to his high school and college stories, then on to medical school and surgical residency, and finally his years at Eisenhower Memorial Hospital including operating on First Lady Betty Ford and opening up the first comprehensive breast in the Coachella Valley. His research efforts have taken him to the erstwhile Soviet Union, Cherbonyl, Beijing, and a host of other countries where he has been asked to speak. This book is entitled Sacrificing America's Women Part 1 because there is an answer to breast cancer that is being summarily dismissed by an establishment that refuses change and wants to perpetuate the slash, poison. burn approach as some people say. He served as a principal speaker on President Bushe's Breast Cancer Panel and served three years as a civilian aboard the Marine Air Ground Combat Center at 29 Palms, CA, was awarded the Carnegie Medal for an outstanding act of heroism, and ran for Congress against Sony Bono. He has been recognized for excellence by people at FLIR and awarded two medals of excellence by the then-commanding general of the 335th Medical Brigade of the Army. He was interviewed by CNN for his groundbreaking efforts at breast cancer prevention, holds a Principal Investigator number with the NCI, he testified for the State of California in the proceedings about Tamoxifen and has given a TED-TALK.

E-BooksAtlas of Breast Implant Ultrasound

Atlas of Breast Implant Ultrasound
English | 2022 | ISBN: 981168281X | 299 pages | True PDF EPUB | 495.8 MB
This atlas is the first book on the use of high-resolution ultrasound to assess breast implants and identify the various potential breast implant-related complications, which are frequently asymptomatic. The aim is to provide radiologists, breast surgeons, plastic surgeons, and other medical staff with a comprehensive guide of high clinical value during not only the diagnostic but also the treatment process. To this end, a wealth of ultrasound images and videos are presented, along with surgical photos and videos and pathological findings. The coverage includes the role of ultrasound in the management of breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell carcinoma, with explanation of its value in distinguishing the type of implant shell, which is highly relevant in this disease. A concluding chapter presents a large series of instructive cases. The author has extensive experience in breast surgery and has been collecting implant-related data using high-resolution ultrasound, including data on the diagnosis of side effects, for more than a decade.

E-BooksMammography and Early Breast Cancer Detection How Screening Saves Lives

Mammography and Early Breast Cancer Detection How Screening Saves Lives
Alan B. Hollingsworth M.D., "Mammography and Early Breast Cancer Detection: How Screening Saves Lives"
English | 2016 | pages: 260 | ISBN: 1476666105 | EPUB | 2,7 mb
Early detection of breast cancer is critical. Yet efforts to cut back on mammography or even stop screening altogether have been gaining ground in the medical community's decades-long debate over testing and treatment. It is not a purely scientific debate-back-room politics and hidden agendas have played as much a role as clinical data, leading to some surprising conclusions. Written by one of the first physicians in the country to specialize in breast cancer risk assessment, genetic testing and high-risk interventions, this book focuses on the screening controversy and explains the arguments used on both sides. The author covers the history of screening, from the first mobile unit on the streets of Manhattan to the cutting edge imaging technology of today.

Bostwick's Plastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery - Two Volume Set 4th Edition by Glyn E. Jones

Few surgical texts are able to provide readers with a level of descriptive and visual detail sufficient to be considered a primary manual for surgical procedures. Surgeons typically face the daunting task of extensive research through various texts to piece together a picture comprehensive enough to guide them through a new procedure. This prospect is especially formidable in the field of plastic and reconstructive breast surgery, in which techniques are constantly evolving and older texts describe procedures that have long since been supplanted by superior methods and innovative approaches.
