E-BooksMany–Body Methods for Atoms, Molecules and Clusters

Many–Body Methods for Atoms, Molecules and Clusters
Free Download Many-Body Methods for Atoms, Molecules and Clusters by Jochen Schirmer
English | EPUB (True) | 2018 | 330 Pages | ISBN : 3319936018 | 16.4 MB
This book provides an introduction to many-body methods for applications in quantum chemistry. These methods, originating in field-theory, offer an alternative to conventional quantum-chemical approaches to the treatment of the many-electron problem in molecules. Starting with a general introduction to the atomic and molecular many-electron problem, the book then develops a stringent formalism of field-theoretical many-body theory, culminating in the diagrammatic perturbation expansions of many-body Green's functions or propagators in terms of Feynman diagrams. It also introduces and analyzes practical computational methods, such as the field-tested algebraic-diagrammatic construction (ADC) schemes. The ADC concept can also be established via a wave-function based procedure, referred to as intermediate state representation (ISR), which bridges the gap between propagator and wave-function formulations. Based on the current rapid increase in computer power and the development of efficient computational methods, quantum chemistry has emerged as a potent theoretical tool for treating ever-larger molecules and problems of chemical and physical interest. Offering an introduction to many-body methods, this book appeals to advanced students interested in an alternative approach to the many-electron problem in molecules, and is suitable for any courses dealing with computational methods in quantum chemistry.

E-BooksFashion Theory and the Visual Semiotics of the Body

Fashion Theory and the Visual Semiotics of the Body
Free Download Žarko Paić, "Fashion Theory and the Visual Semiotics of the Body"
English | ISBN: 1527585824 | 2022 | 200 pages | PDF | 5 MB
Instead of the logic of representation of fashion in the light of modern society and postmodern culture, this book argues that contemporary fashion should be regarded as a performative-conceptual turn in the very core of body iconograms. The text presents a theoretical perspective of the phenomenon of fashion within fashion theory as establishing a new approach from visual semiotics. Through this lens, fashion, therefore, emerges as a visual code of contemporary societies and cultures in the networked matrices of hyperreality and visions of that coming time that will determine the combination of cybernetics, fetishism and transgression.

E-BooksBody of Christ Incarnate for You Conceptualizing God's Desire for the Flesh

Body of Christ Incarnate for You Conceptualizing God's Desire for the Flesh
Free Download Adam Pryor Bethany College, "Body of Christ Incarnate for You: Conceptualizing God's Desire for the Flesh "
English | ISBN: 1498522688 | 2016 | 232 pages | EPUB | 3 MB
Incarnation has always been an important concept within Christian theology. For centuries theologians have wrestled with how best to conceptualize the vexing problem of what it means that Jesus the Christ is fully God and fully human. In this book, Adam Pryor explores how the incarnation has intersected corresponding issues well beyond the familiar question of how any one person might have two natures. Beginning by identifying four critical themes that have historically shaped the development of this doctrine, Pryor goes on to offer a constructive account of the incarnation. His account seeks out the continued meaning of this doctrine given the increasing complexity that characterizes our understanding of human bodies-bodies that can no longer be understood as the locus of distinct subjects separated from the world of objects with the skin as an impenetrable boundary between the two. Making use of contemporary phenomenologies of the flesh and the erotic, Pryor develops an understanding of the incarnation that seeks to go beyond classical issues presented by two natures christologies. Incarnation, in guises as various as Jesus the Christ, cyborg bodies, and sacramental practices, becomes a way that God is diffused into the world, transforming how we are to be-with one another.

Body Transformation Manual The ultimate 12 week workout plan suitable for women and men
Free Download Sean Lerwill, "Body Transformation Manual: The ultimate 12 week workout plan suitable for women and men"
English | ISBN: 1785211781 | 2019 | 170 pages | PDF | 23 MB
Body transformations are the most sought-after type of training in the fitness world. It is now understood by the leading magazines, gym chains and industry as a whole, that training for a marathon, getting into swimming or general exercise (like squash) will not give people the bikini body or rippling six pack they would like. The simple truth is that the task is challenging and exercise is actually only about one-third of the battle. This manual gives you the information to get the exercise bit right, as well as how to manage the nutrition, sleep and stress that goes into the other, arguably more important, two-thirds. The Body Transformation Manual includes:

Peoplewatching is the culmination of a career of watching people - their behaviour and habits, their personalities and their quirks. Desmond Morris shows us how people, consciously and unconsciously, signal their attitudes, desires and innermost feelings with their bodies and actions, often more powerfully than with their words.

E-BooksEmotion Communication by the Aging Face and Body

Emotion Communication by the Aging Face and Body
Free Download Emotion Communication by the Aging Face and Body: A Multidisciplinary View
English | 2024 | ISBN: 1009209639 | 341 Pages | PDF | 4 MB
As our society ages, questions concerning the relations between generations gain importance. The quality of human relations depends on the quality of emotion communication, which is a significant part of our daily interactions. Emotion expressions serve not only to communicate how the expresser feels, but also to communicate intentions (whether to approach or retreat) and personality traits (such as dominance, trustworthiness, or friendliness) that influence our decisions regarding whether and how to interact with a person. Emotion Communication by the Aging Face and Body delineates how aging affects emotion communication and person perception by bringing together research across multiple disciplines. Scholars and graduate students in the psychology of aging, affective science, and social gerontology will benefit from this over-view and theoretical framework.
