Spymaster's Prism The Fight Against Russian Aggression [Audiobook]
English | ASIN: B09BK6CY1K | 2021 | 7 hours and 23 minutes |MP3|M4B | 203 MB
In Spymaster's Prism, the legendary former spymaster Jack Devine details the unending struggle with Russia and its intelligence agencies as it works against our national security. Devine tells this story through the unique perspective of a seasoned CIA professional who served more than three decades, some at the highest levels of the agency. He uses his gimlet-eyed view to walk us through the fascinating spy cases and covert action activities of Russia, not only through the Cold War past, but up to and including its interference in the Trump era.
Devine also looks over the horizon to see what lies ahead in this struggle and provides prescriptions for the future. Based on personal experience and exhaustive research, Devine builds a vivid and complex mosaic that illustrates how Russia's intelligence activities have continued uninterrupted throughout modern history, using fundamentally identical policies and techniques to undermine our democracy. He shows in stark terms how intelligence has been modernized and weaponized through the power of the cyber world.

On every continent scribes, traders and kings promoted division of labor, professional armies, social discipline, nationalist, ethnic and class fervor. This title is a vast study of the rise of totalitarian lifestyles and a profound affirmation of the struggle to reassert human values. A mature expression of the critique of technology, civilization, and the notion of progress Fredy developed throughout his life and one of most influential anarchist texts of the last few decades. It is also one of the most beautiful anarchist texts ever written.

Fighting the Bombers The Luftwaffe's Struggle Against the Allied Bomber Offensive
Adolf Galland, Josef Kammbuber, Willi Messerschmitt, David C. Isby, "Fighting the Bombers: The Luftwaffe's Struggle Against the Allied Bomber Offensive"
English | 2016 | ISBN: 1848328451, 0739433415 | 256 pages | EPUB | 1.9 MB
Fighting the Bombers is an unrivaled look at the Allied bombing campaign from the point of view of the Luftwaffe establishment and command. The contributing authors were involved in all aspects of German attempts to stem the unrelenting bombardment from the RAF and USAAF; from tactics in the sky and development of the planes themselves, to long term strategy and planning on the ground, and the implementation of sophisticated radio and radar equipment. These reports were written immediately after the war, in 1945 and 1946 when most of the authors were prisoners of war, and for the most part were prepared without the aid of official documentation and records. As such they represent a view not coloured by reflection or by 'party lines' that became established in the post-war years, and clearly show the development of the Luftwaffe-particularly the tactics and equipment used for night flying-as the war progressed and give a clear history of attempts to defend the Reich from aerial attack. The book also benefits from having been written specifically for an audience well-versed in military aviation affairs, the allied aviation and intelligence services. The detail contained in the reports is unique and allows the reader a fresh perspective on this famous campaign.Fighting the Bombers is an unrivaled look at the Allied bombing campaign from the point of view of the Luftwaffe establishment and command. Against The Megamachine Essays On Empire And Its Enemies
Against The Megamachine: Essays On Empire And Its Enemies By David Watson
1998 | 334 Pages | ISBN: 1570270872 | PDF | 8 MB
Urban-industrial civilization is a vast junkyard. Everything, from the planets to the cells of our bodies, is contaminated with its poisons. What it means to be human is now in dangerous flux, while the entire edifice sways over us, threatening to crash down in ruins. The green world in which we evolved is being shredded by our instruments and our way of life...David Watson's wide-ranging essays - published in the Fifth Estate, one of North America's most original radical journals - ponder such themes as the state, empire and war; humanity's tragic relation to the natural world; and the contemporary mass society generated by industrial capitalism and modern technology. His impassioned critique offers a vision of social transformation open to diverse possibilities, and suggests where a new politics must begin: as a radical challenge to the mystique of progress, in defense of nature, memory and spirit."David Watson is one of the handful of thinkers and authors who have managed to address technology in all of its dimensions - its effects on individual consciousness, on political power, on social and cultural forms, and on the natural world - to reveal something far more profound and terrifying, though still beneath the awareness of the public and the otherwise politically engaged community of activists. Technology must move to the forefront as an activist issue, and only through works like this will we understand the subject well enough to act." - Jerry Mander

To Moscow, Not Mecca The Soviet Campaign Against Islam in Central Asia, 1917-1941
To Moscow, Not Mecca: The Soviet Campaign Against Islam in Central Asia, 1917-1941 By Shoshana Keller
2001 | 277 Pages | ISBN: 0275972380 | PDF | 7 MB
The clash between Communism and Islam in the Soviet Union pitted two socio-political systems against one another, each proclaiming ultimate truth. This study examines the first decades of the struggle in Central Asia (1917-1941), where an ancient religious tradition faced an aggressive form of secular modernity. The Soviets attempted to break down Muslim culture and remold it on Marxist-Leninist lines. Central Asians played complex roles in this effort, both defending and attacking Islam, but mostly trying to survive. Despite Stalin's totalitarian aims, the Soviet regime in Central Asia was often weak even into the 1930s, and by 1941 the opposing systems had reached a standoff. The Communist Party pursued the destruction of Islam in stages, which reflected the development of Soviet political strength. The party developed propaganda that both attacked Islam and extolled the new Soviet culture. However, the entire process was plagued by inefficiency, ignorance, and disobedience. By 1941, the Communists had inflicted tremendous damage, but customs such as circumcision, brideprice, and polygyny had merely gone underground. Central Asians had not exchanged the fundamental identity of Muslim for Marxist-Leninist. Keller utilizes documents from Moscow and Tashkent, including the now-closed former Communist Party Archive of Uzbekistan.
