Star Trek Nemesis 2002 REMASTERED BRRip x264-LAMA

After a joyous wedding between William Riker and Deanna Troi, Captain Picard and the Enterprise crew stumble upon a positronic signature which results in a prototype version of the android Data. Then the Enterprise is invited to Romulus to negotiate a peace treaty with the Romulans by their new leader, Praetor Shinzon. However, Shinzon is revealed to be a clone of Picard who was raised on Remus, a slave planet to the Romulans. Later on, Picard discovers that this peace treaty was nothing more than a set-up on account of the fact that Shinzon needs Picard in order to survive. But little do the Enterprise crew know that Shinzon also plans to do away with the Federation by unleashing a weapon that could destroy a whole planet.

A somewhat playful foray into the world of ghosts and Chinese opera as the ghost of a long-dead Cantonese opera diva returns to tie up the unfinished business of her former life with the aid of her most recent male incarnation.Despite some unnecessary silliness in parts, this light-weight comedy has some quirky charm particularly in Joey Yung's long-dead gender-bender Giselle. But this is a ghost story and probably not for horror fans. No blood and gore here just the occasional wistfulness over what might have been and what could be for both the living and the dead.Despite a somewhat simplistic and, at times, weak plot Joey Yung makes the most of her role and is the real reason to see this film. There are a few intriguing but light-weight moments about the backstage activities of Chinese opera. However, the trials of Giselle's contemporary reincarnation are a bit perplexing and are really just a backdrop for the heart of this movie.Nice costumes and a moderately amusing film.

Miriam Yeung stars as Alice, the daughter of a Chinese herbalist/doctor and a ridiculously ugly looking mother. In a 10 minute segment, you watch Alice learn kung-fu from her dad and how to be a beautiful person from her mother. What Alice becomes is myopic and eccentric. Her little quirks (yelling her angry feelings into a bottle of water, practicing herbal medicine) are supposed to be charming but come across as annoying. Alice works at a ladies magazine that is merging with a men's magazine. There she meets and falls in love with Ryan (Louis Koo), a player who faints after walking up stairs. This characteristic is only there as a way for Alice to interact with Ryan, right? Except that does not happen. Alice gets stranded when she loses her glasses (shades of Velma in Scooby-Doo). Alice stabs Ryan in the butt and this leads to a great friendship. Alice learns that Ryan is in love with Michelle, so she does everything in her power to help him. And if you can't guess what happens next, you haven't seen enough movies or read enough romance novels.I don't really regret buying this DVD, but what a terrible lesson it teaches. Women should change the way they look and tend to a man's every need in order to win his heart. Yeah, but why buy the cow when the milk is free, right? Louis Koo probably did not break a sweat making this movie. He's the ideal choice for a playboy. Miriam is very credible as the kooky Alice but neither actor convinces me that the two characters should fall in love or be together. If you really, REALLY like cinderella stories, this movie would be a good choice for you.

Detectives Sara Parson and Luke Gage have just broken off their romantic partnership when they are forced to collaborate on a double-murder case.
