This course was designed to help people who work in the root cause analysis of occupational safety or process accidents, and must conduct interviews with those involved in the accident. In a root cause analysis, the interview is an important tool for data collection. Knowing what it's like to ask is the key to getting the most important informations.In this unprecedented course, you will learn several techniques conducted in an interview and before that, learn how to be prepared for an interview. The course is divided into four parts: planning the interview, developing questions, conducting the interview, and ending the interview.In the planning section I will give tips on the resources you will dedicate to this moment, such as the format of the meeting place, number of people, etc. In the question development class, I will bring tips for formulating assertive questions that favor dialogue with your interviewee. I will talk about the funnel technique, which helps a lot in conducting the interview. Next, let's see how to conduct the interview, how to behave, how the roles are distributed. Finally, we will have a class talking about closing the interview, because ending well is as important as starting well.At the end of each class you will have a "summary" of the content to fix the contents and tips.
