E-BooksNonlinear Waves From Dissipative Solitons to Magnetic Solitons

Nonlinear Waves From Dissipative Solitons to Magnetic Solitons
Free Download Nonlinear Waves: From Dissipative Solitons to Magnetic Solitons
English | 2023 | ISBN: 9811967431 | 892 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 116 MB
This book highlights the methods to engineer dissipative and magnetic nonlinear waves propagating in nonlinear systems. In the first part of the book, the authors present methodologically mathematical models of nonlinear waves propagating in one- and two-dimensional nonlinear transmission networks without/with dissipative elements. Based on these models, the authors investigate the generation and the transmission of nonlinear modulated waves, in general, and solitary waves, in particular, in networks under consideration. In the second part of the book, the authors develop basic theoretical results for the dynamics matter-wave and magnetic-wave solitons of nonlinear systems and of Bose-Einstein condensates trapped in external potentials, combined with the time-modulated nonlinearity. The models treated here are based on one-, two-, and three-component non-autonomous Gross-Pitaevskii equations. Based on the Heisenberg model of spin-spin interactions, the authors also investigate the dynamics of magnetization in ferromagnet with or without spin-transfer torque. This research book is suitable for physicists, mathematicians, engineers, and graduate students in physics, mathematics, and network and information engineering.

E-BooksThe Mathematics Of Open Quantum Systems Dissipative And Non-unitary Representations And Quantum Measurements

The Mathematics Of Open Quantum Systems Dissipative And Non-unitary Representations And Quantum Measurements
Mathematics Of Open Quantum Systems, The: Dissipative And Non-unitary Representations And Quantum Measurements
by Konstantin A Makarov;Eduard R Tsekanovskii;

English | 2022 | ISBN: 9811241228 | 300 pages | True PDF EPUB | 34.65 MB
This book presents new developments in the open quantum systems theory with emphasis on applications to the (frequent) measurement theory. In the first part of the book, the uniqueness theorems for the solutions to the restricted Weyl commutation relations braiding unitary groups and semi-groups of contractions are discussed. The major theme involves an intrinsic characterization of the simplest symmetric operator solutions to the Heisenberg uncertainty relations, the problem posed by Jørgensen and Muhly, followed by the proof of the uniqueness theorems for the simplest solutions to the restricted Weyl commutation relations. The detailed study of unitary invariants of the corresponding dissipative and symmetric operators opens up a look at the classical Stone-von Neumann uniqueness theorem from a new angle and provides an extended version of the uniqueness result relating various realizations of a differentiation operator on the corresponding metric graphs. The second part of the book is devoted to mathematical problems of the quantum measurements under continuous monitoring. Among the topics discussed are the complementarity of the Quantum Zeno effect and Exponential Decay scenario in frequent quantum measurements, and a rigorous treatment, within continuous monitoring paradigm, of the celebrated 'double-slit experiment' where the renowned exclusive and interference measurement alternatives approach in quantum theory is presented in a way that is accessible for mathematicians. One of the striking applications of the generalized (1-stable) central limit theorem is the mathematical evidence of exponential decay of unstable states of the quantum pendulum under continuous monitoring.

E-BooksDissipative Solitons

Dissipative Solitons
Dissipative Solitons By N. Akhmediev, A. Ankiewicz (auth.), Nail Akhmediev, Adrian Ankiewicz (eds.)
2005 | 448 Pages | ISBN: 3540233733 | PDF | 24 MB
This volume is devoted to the exciting topic of dissipative solitons, i.e. pulses or spatially localised waves in systems exhibiting gain and loss. Examples are laser systems, nonlinear resonators and optical transmission lines. The physical principles and mathematical concepts are explained in a clear and concise way, suitable for students and young researchers. The similarities and differences in the notion of a soliton between dissipative systems and Hamiltonian and integrable systems are discussed, and many examples are given. The contributions are written by the world's leading experts in the field, making it a unique exposition of this emerging topic.

E-BooksThe Earth`s Dissipative Structures Fundamental Wave Properties of Substance

The Earth`s Dissipative Structures Fundamental Wave Properties of Substance
The Earth`s Dissipative Structures: Fundamental Wave Properties of Substance by Oleg V. Petrov
English | PDF,EPUB | 2019 | 270 Pages | ISBN : 3319936131 | 104 MB
This volume describes physical, formal mathematical and exterior (morpho-structural) manifestations of wave dynamics of the Earth, defining both its deep structural image, and the external shape of planet. In addition to the standard imagination about waves in the geological environment as short-term seismological and seismic effects, wave dynamics of the Earth are considered as long-time process, comparable to the geochronological scale.
