Free Download Cybersecurity Challenges in the Age of AI, Space Communications and Cyborgs
English | 2024 | ISBN: 3031475933 | 442 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 47 MB
This book provides an opportunity for researchers, scientists, government officials, strategist and operators and maintainers of large, complex and advanced systems and infrastructure to update their knowledge with the state of best practice in the challenging domains while networking with the leading representatives, researchers and solution providers. The advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI), coupled with the prolificacy of the Internet of Things (IoT) devices are creating smart societies that are interconnected. Space exploration and satellite, drone and UAV technology have travelled a long way in recent years and some may debate that we are in the midst of a revolution; in terms of development and the increasing number of these devices being launched. But with this revolutionary progress, it presents itself with new challenges in terms of governance. The ethical implications of connecting the physical and digital worlds, and presenting the reality of a truly interconnected society, presents the realization of the concept of smart societies in reality.

E-BooksPrinciples of Inductive Near Field Communications for Internet of Things

Principles of Inductive Near Field Communications for Internet of Things
Free Download Johnson I. Agbinya, "Principles of Inductive Near Field Communications for Internet of Things "
English | ISBN: 8792329527 | 2011 | 406 pages | PDF | 8 MB
Near field communication devices and the emerging field of Internet of things require efficient short range communication techniques. Classical telecommunication theory however has so far focused on radiating electromagnetic signals which is more suited to terrestrial communication systems. Over the last decade however considerable research and applications of inductive methods have emerged as innovative approaches for secure short range communications by changing the paradigm of an established model of electromagnetic communications. We have witnessed the emergence of embedded inductive medical devices, magneto-inductive waveguides, inductive pots and cooking devices, magneto-inductive sensors, wireless power transfer, inductive hearing aids and the emerging inductive point-to-point communication specifically termed near-field communication (NFC) as used in mobile phones and payment cards to name a few. While there exist a large set of distributed methods and algorithms detailing the design and performances of such applications, a significant gap is observed as a lack of detailed collection of the methods in one place which could be easily understood and used quickly by someone seeking to apply the methods. In this book this missing gap is filled with the required details and the theory of near field communication systems including both the radiating and reactive (energy coupling) near-field systems in addition to the well known far field radiation techniques. The book details the fundamental expressions and design methods which facilitate the creation of near field devices and equipment including embedded biomedical implants. The book contains recent advances in inductive communications, performance, limitations and a collection of applications. It also lays a strong foundation for the application of inductive methods for creating Internet of Things systems.

Free Download L. P Ligthart, "Communications, Navigation, Sensing and Services (CONASENSE) "
English | ISBN: 8792982395 | 2013 | 204 pages | PDF | 4 MB
During the last decade there was a shift from wireless and mobile communications technology, networks and applications towards integration of radio with other disciplines. Integration of navigation, sensing and services allow for entering new areas in which many requirements from individuals and organizations are satisfied.Potential applications are manifold. Developments for realizing these new application areas will cause a boost on new systems demonstrating the potentials of this integration approach. In this first book the fundamentals of this new approach on integrated communication, navigation, sensing and services (Conasense) will be elucidated. Furthermore, several applications illustrate some of the aims of Conasense. Two major areas have been selected1. Quality of life2. Intelligent Conasense architecturesTopics in the book on 'quality of life' include:* Visionary plans on health, security, neurophysics, indoor and outdoor safeguarding: in all these areas new Conasense technology and systems are essential.Topics in the book on intelligent Conasense architectures concern:* a framework describing novelties in Conasense technology needed to realize the aimed improve in 'quality of life'.* Breakthroughs on full integration of space-based and terrestrial communication and navigation systems with advanced high resolution sensing of the local environment supplemented with geographical information at regionals, national and international scales.
