Stepping Between Realities

English | 2014 | ISBN: 0985604867 | EPUB | pages: 294 | 0.4 mb
In Michael J. Roads' latest book, Stepping... Between ... Realities, his metaphysical adventures take him to the galaxy in which we physically live-a galaxy with which we have only a remote relationship. We are not alone! He metaphysically enters a black hole for an experience beyond his wildest imaginings. He encounters a galactic Being which is a galaxy within itself, and also visits a few of the many utterly amazing astral worlds. Michael explains, "Over my lifetime I have learned that it is possible to move into my metaphysical Light-body and access that greater reality. I step . . . Between . . . realities. This book is filled with my unique insights gained by metaphysically journeying into realms and realities beyond imagination. My astonishing, consciousness-expanding journey into the dynamic, living energy we call our sun, is just one such indication of the miraculous universe in which we live. The galaxy is not dead matter and endless space; it is filled with consciousness, purpose, direction . . . life!" This latest book follows Michael J. Roads' popular trilogy "Through the Eyes of Love, Journeying with Pan" Books One, Two and Three.

Infinitesimal differences Controversies between Leibniz and his contemporaries
Free Download Infinitesimal differences: Controversies between Leibniz and his contemporaries By Goldenbaum, Ursula; Jesseph, Douglas (eds.)
2008 | 633 Pages | ISBN: 3110202166 | PDF | 3 MB
The essays offer a unified and comprehensive view of 17th century mathematical and metaphysical disputes overstatus of infinitesimals, particularly the question whether they were real or mere fictions. Leibniz's development of the calculus and his understanding of its metaphysical foundation are taken as both a point of departure and a frame of reference for the 17th century discussions of infinitesimals, that involved Hobbes, Wallis, Newton, Bernoulli, Hermann, and Nieuwentijt. Although the calculus was undoubtedly successful in mathematical practice, it remained controversial because its procedures seemed to lack an adequate metaphysical or methodological justification. The topic is also of philosophical interest, because Leibniz freely employed the language of infinitesimal quantities in the foundations of his dynamics and theory of forces. Thus, philosophical disputes over the Leibnizian science of bodies naturally involve questions about the nature of infinitesimals. The volume also includes newly discovered Leibnizian marginalia in the mathematical writings of Hobbes.

E-BooksHabermas between Critical Theory and Liberalism (PDF)

Habermas between Critical Theory and Liberalism (PDF)
Free Download Kire Sharlamanov, "Habermas between Critical Theory and Liberalism"
English | ISBN: 3031539370 | 2024 | 268 pages | PDF | 4 MB
This book identifies the turning points in Habermas's work and his transition from one stage to another in the development of his theoretical oeuvre. Habermas began his academic career as part of the Frankfurt School, but the two key points at which his career changes trajectory are moving from historical materialism to normative idealism and playing with some of the ideas of liberalism. Normative idealism is an ahistorical theory that insists on the independence of the normative from material reality, severing the connection between base and superstructure that Marx wrote about. The break with the basic concepts of Marxism enabled Habermas to build his own discursive (critical) theory, which, especially since the end of the 1980s, takes the ideas of liberalism seriously. This book makes a systematic, multidimensional and detailed analysis of Habermas's theoretical oeuvre in two dimensions, chronological (in the order in which Habermas worked on certain topics) and thematic (enclosingcertain thematic units).
