Petroleum Geology and Exploration of the Bongor Basin (2024)
Free Download Petroleum Geology and Exploration of the Bongor Basin by Lirong Dou , Kunye Xiao , Jingchun Wang
English | EPUB (True) | 2023 | 497 Pages | ISBN : 9811926727 | 343.1 MB
This book offers case study of the tridimensional exploration in whole exploration cycle with comprehensive and systematic geological and geophysical studies in the Bongor Basin. Focused on the typical intensively inversed rift basin-the Bongor Basin in Chad, this book establishes petroleum geology model, accumulation model of the typical intensively inversed rift basin and ensemble exploration techniques by studying comprehensively through the lens of structural geology, petrology, geochronology, sedimentology, paleontology, petroleum geochemistry, petroleum geology, and hydrocarbon accumulation dynamics studies on both granite buried hill and sandstone reservoir. Based on the cases in whole exploration cycle and abundant primary research resource (some are first published in public) in the Bongor Basin, this book is a valuable reference for researchers, managers, instructors, and students who engaged in petroleum exploration.

E-BooksHydrological Processes of the Danube River Basin Perspectives from the Danubian Countries (2024)

Hydrological Processes of the Danube River Basin Perspectives from the Danubian Countries (2024)

English | 2010 | pages: 441 | ISBN: 9048134226, 9400790074 | PDF | 17,2 mb
The Danube River Basin is shared by 19 countries and there is no river basin in the world shared by so many nations. Europe's second largest river basin with a total 2 area of about 800,000 km is also home to 83 million people of different cultures, languages and historical backgrounds. Management of common water sources and overcoming dif?culties caused by droughts and ?oods requires co-operation between the countries. In 1971 these c- mon interests stimulated the hydrologists of - at that time - eight Danube countries to begin regional co- operation in the framework of the International Hydrological Decade of UNESCO. The result of this research was The Hydrological Monograph of the Danube and its Catchment, which was published in 1986. Since 1975 this co-operation has continued under the umbrella of the International Hydrological Programme (IHP) of UNESCO. In the past 20 years political turbulence has caused an increase in the number of countries, making the co-operation dif?cult at times.

Fundamentals of Basin and Petroleum Systems Modeling
Free Download Fundamentals of Basin and Petroleum Systems Modeling by Armin I. Kauerauf , Thomas Hantschel
English | PDF | 2009 | 486 Pages | ISBN : 354072317X | 16 MB
It is with great satisfaction and personal delight that I can write the foreword for this book Fundamentals of Basin and Petroleum Systems Modeling by Thomas Hantschel and Armin Ingo Kauerauf. It is a privilege for us geosci- tists that two outstanding physicists, with scientic backgrounds in numerical methods of continuum-mechanics and in statistical physics respectively could be won to deeply dive into the numerical simulation of complex geoprocesses The keen interest in the geosciences of ThomasHantschelandArminI.Kau- auf and their patience with more descriptive oriented geologists, geochemists, sedimentologists and structural geologists made it possible to write this book, a profound and quantitative treatment of the mathematical and physical - pects of very complex geoprocesses. In addition to their investigative int- est during their patient dialogue with afore mentioned geological specialists Thomas Hantschel and Armin I. Kauerauf gained a great wealth of practical experience by cooperating closely with the international upstream petroleum industry during their years with the service company IES, Integrated Exp- ration Systems. Their book will be a milestone in the advancement of modern geosciences. The intelligent usage of modern high speed computers made all this possible.

E-BooksThe Brahmaputra Basin Water Resources

The Brahmaputra Basin Water Resources
The Brahmaputra Basin Water Resources By C. S. P. Ojha, V. P. Singh (auth.), Vijay P. Singh, Nayan Sharma, C. Shekhar P. Ojha (eds.)
2004 | 613 Pages | ISBN: 9048164818 | PDF | 19 MB
The Brahmaputra River is a precious gift of Nature to India and especially to its northeast region. The meaning of this gift becomes evident immediately when one considers the vastness of water resources which the Brahmaputra River basin possesses. Nearly 30% of India's water resources potential and 41% of the country's total hydropower potential are found in this basin. In terms of the average discharge, the Brahmaputra River is the fifth largest river in the world. Traversing a distance of about 2,900 kilometers from Tibet at an elevation of 5,150 meters to the Bay of Bengal and draining an area of nearly 1. 6 million square kilometres shared by Tibet, India and Bangladesh, it has shaped the social, economic, cultural, religious, political, and linguistic fabric of the northeast region of India from time immemorial. Its majestic disposition is nothing short of poetic. The northeast region has a colourful ethnic and non-ethnic population and represents almost a miniature India. Its biodiversity of flora and fauna and other natural ecosystems is unsurpassable. The northeast region of India is endowed with enormous natural resources and the huge potential of the Brahmaputra River basin. These resources notwithstanding, this part of India remains woefully underdeveloped. The current state of low development of the northeast region can arguably be attributed to a multitude of factors.
