E-BooksMicrostructure Atlas of P91 Steel (2024)

Microstructure Atlas of P91 Steel (2024)
Free Download Microstructure Atlas of P91 Steel by Rajat K. Roy , Anil K. Das , Avijit Kumar Metya , Avijit Mondal , Ashis Kumar Panda , M. Ghosh , Satish Chand , Sarmishtha Palit Sagar , Swapan Kumar Das , Amit Chhabra , Swaminathan Jaganathan , Amitava Mitra
English | EPUB (True) | 2023 | 119 Pages | ISBN : 9811995613 | 157.87 MB
This book highlights the qualitative and quantitative sequential changes in microstructure of P91 steel under various stress and temperature conditions. The P91 alloy is an established material used under elevated temperature and stress in the components of thermal power plants. Temperature and stress levels for laboratory experimentation have been selected based on the true operating condition of a boiler. This book describes both full length as well as interrupted tests that were performed under given parameters. Subsequently, the microstructures, bulk hardness and NDE parameters (magnetic and non-linear ultrasonic) have been evaluated. For reliable data, the microstructures have been observed at different regions of creep exposed samples by different characterization techniques. This has been further followed by drawing co-relation between specific features like precipitate size variation with creep strain / creep time and so on. Given the contents, this book will be a useful reference for researchers and professionals working in the area of materials especially in thermal power plants.

English | ISBN: 3837661385 | 2023 | 298 pages | PDF | 4 MB
How do digital media technologies shape or restructure social practice? And which transitions and demarcations of different forms of publicness arise in this context? Simon Holdermann examines this question in his ethnography of everyday life in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. In order to approach the ongoing, historically situated social transformations of the region, he analyses a variety of media practices concerning the organizational work and transnational cooperation that take place there - in particular at the intersection of mountain tourism, NGO work, and local self-government.

Atlas of the Deep–Water Seabed Ireland
Free Download Boris Dorschel, Andrew J. Wheeler, Xavier Monteys, "Atlas of the Deep-Water Seabed: Ireland"
English | 2011 | pages: 167 | ISBN: 904819377X, 9048193753 | PDF | 44,6 mb
Presented in an accessible, user-friendly format, this atlas sets out all the major features revealed during one of the largest ever deep-sea mapping campaigns. A unique insight into the morphology of the seabed along the continental margin of the North-East Atlantic, it reveals for the first time many features that have hitherto been hidden beneath the waves. It is organised both thematically and by region, with the sea floor and its biological hotspots - areas of high biodiversity such as seamounts - shown at a resolution not possible before. The atlas presents everything from submarine canyons to coral carbonate mounds, using digital terrain models generated from multibeam data and photographs taken from unmanned deep-water vehicles (ROVs).

E-BooksThe Sky Atlas The Greatest Maps, Myths and Discoveries of the Universe

The Sky Atlas The Greatest Maps, Myths and Discoveries of the Universe
Free Download The Sky Atlas: The Greatest Maps, Myths and Discoveries of the Universe By Edward Brooke-Hitching
2019 | 256 Pages | ISBN: 1471178935 | PDF | 14 MB
After the enormous international success of The Phantom Atlas and The Golden Atlas, Edward Brooke-Hitching's stunning new book unveils some of the most beautiful maps and charts ever created during mankind's quest to map the skies above us. This richly illustrated treasury showcases the finest examples of celestial cartography - a glorious genre of map-making often overlooked by modern map books - as well as medieval manuscripts, masterpiece paintings, ancient star catalogues, antique instruments and other appealing curiosities. This is the sky as it has never been presented before: the realm of stars and planets, but also of gods, devils, weather wizards, flying sailors, medieval aliens, mythological animals and rampaging spirits. The reader is taken on a tour of star-obsessed cultures around the world, learning about Tibetan sky burials, star-covered Inuit dancing coats, Mongolian astral prophets and Sir William Herschel's 1781 discovery of Uranus, the first planet to be found since antiquity. Even stranger are the forgotten stories from European history, like the English belief of the Middle Ages in ships that sailed a sea above the clouds, 16th-century German UFO sightings and the Edwardian aristocrat who mistakenly mapped alien-made canals on the surface of Mars. As the intricacies of our universe are today being revealed with unprecedented clarity, there has never been a better time for a highly readable book as beautiful as the night sky to contextualise the scale of these achievements for the general reader.
